Hen Ottilie has had enough! She and the other hens have all the work of laying eggs and when it comes to the nice tasks like painting and decorating them, the Easter bunnies take over - and they even get celebrated by the children as Easter Heroes. This must come to an end. Ottilie plans a chicken revolt: Either the hens are allowed to help paint and distribute the eggs or they go on strike! The hares grudgingly agree and soon realize that having such an Easter hen on the team has some advantages. Together they set about painting and distributing and in the end it is a successful Easter for all!

Katja Reider

Katja Reider was born in 1960. She studied German literature and media science in Göttingen. She created her first picture book during a particularly rainy vacation. By now she has published several books for children and young adults that have been translated into many languages. She lives in Northern Germany with her family.

Dominik Rupp

Dominik Rupp, born in 1989, studied Design at Münster University of Applied Sciences, with Illustration as his focus. Even during his studies, he worked for numerous renowned publishers. Today he works as a freelancing illustrator and lives near Cologne.
