THiLO Kathrin Schrocke

Kathrin Schrocke wurde 1975 in Augsburg geboren. Nach ihrem Germanistik- und Psychologiestudium in Bamberg belegte sie einen zweijährigen Fernkurs zum Thema Kinder- und Jugendliteratur bei STUBE/Wien. Daneben war sie als Presseassistentin in einem großen Kinder- und Jugendbuchverlag tätig, arbeitete als Praktikantin in der Redaktion der Jugendzeitschrift Brigitte young miss und verfasste Literaturkritiken für das Fachforum für Kinder- und Jugendliteratur kjl-online. Sie veröffentlichte Erzählungen und Theaterstücke für Erwachsene, für die sie u.a. mit dem Kurzgeschichtenpreis der Criminale, dem Dillinger Kulturpreis und dem Anerkennungspreis des bayerischen Kultusministeriums ausgezeichnet wurde. THiLO

THiLO spent the first 20 years of his life in the children's corner of his parents' bookshop. He then travelled in Africa, Asia and Central America before successfully touring with friends as a cabaret trio. Today THILO lives in Mainz with his family and writes stories and scripts for TV programmes.
