Marliese Arold was born in 1958 in Erlenbach on the Main and studied at the College for Librarianship in Stuttgart, focusing on libraries for children. She enjoyed writing and in 1983 her first children's and teenagers' books were published. Today, she is working as a freelance author for several publishing houses.

Lisa Althaus wurde im Vorarlberger Rheintal geboren, wo sie auch heute wieder lebt. Sie besuchte ein Jahr die École de dessin in Paris, studierte dann Grafik in Wien an der Hochschule für Angewandte Kunst und anschließend an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste in München. Nach vielen Jahren in München zog sie mit ihrer Familie zurück in die Berge. Dort arbeitet sie in ihrem Atelier unter einem hundertjährigen Lindenbaum als freie Malerin und Illustratorin.

Together with the wonderful Aunt Lottie, they embark on an adventurous journey that takes them all the way to the mysterious Dragonland, where they finally manage to track down Zora. After all, best friends are never apart for long!
