During a lunar eclipse, Princess Lara sets sail in the SEA WITCH with her "piratepirate" friends. But they soon start to feel uneasy as ghost pirates emerge from the masts and it becomes clear that a terrible curse hangs over the boat. Lara and her crew discover that the figurehead of the boat was carved from a tree from the dark forest. Only when the figurehead is returned to the forest will the curse be lifted. The piratepirates set their course for the mystical forest, but night after night they are harried by ghosts. However, Lara and her friends manage to keep them at bay and eventually even lift the curse.
Princess Lara is friendly, confident and willing to help - without being perfect. Together with her friends, she fights injustice and poverty, making her a likeable role model for all girls: those who are brave themselves and those who would like to be.
Nothing is more important to Lara than the piratepirates. Her friends, however, do not know that she is really a princess, just as King Rudolpho does not know that his daughter is secretly hanging around the port. Lara's secret double life gives the story a special thrill!
