Siri Glitterstar is a very ordinary sort of girl – until one day a talking hamster knocks at her window. To be precise, it is Backe, the witch hamster, who straightaway takes care of Siri’s education as a Glitter witch. Before Siri knows what is happening, she is wearing a magical armband and up to her ears in a wonderful glittery adventure.
It’s only been a few days since Siri moved to this new town, and all she wants now is a best friend. She meets Tinka during her first witchy activity, but Tinka just laughs at her and won’t believe that she is a real witch. Then, suddenly, Tinka is in danger and Siri must do some magic to save her.

Eva Hierteis, born in 1972, dreamed of writing books as a child, but never got beyond the third page. That has since changed. After studying literature and working for a children's book publisher for several years, she has finally fulfilled her dream and is now fully dedicated to writing. She lives with her family in Nuremberg.

Friederike Großekettler wurde 1961 in Hannover geboren. Schon als Kind war sie eine begeisterte Leserin und hat ihre Bücher mit Buntstiften verschönert. Inzwischen ist sie Illustratorin und arbeitet seit 2000 für verschiedene Verlage. Neben dem Zeichnen mag sie besonders gerne freche Katzen und natürlich Hamster. Sie lebt mit ihrer Familie und einer Katzenoma in Hameln an der Weser.
