Kira Gembri was born in Vienna in 1990. She remained loyal to this beautiful city after completing her degree in literature. She shares her love of books with her two children who firmly believe in fairytales. Mythical creatures don’t live with her by the way – but she does have a cat who was definitely a goblin in his former life.

Verena Körting

Verena Körting was born and grew up in Cologne. After studying communication design at Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences, she moved to Hamburg and worked there as a graphic designer but found it too boring in the long run. Since 2010 she has been illustrating, now full-time, for various children's book publishers. She lives and works in Cologne.
