The First-Time Readers Classics
Who better to capture the magic of summer in words than Cornelia Funke? She portrays what makes the world so special for children: friendships formed on the beach without needing to speak the same language, or the realization that you truly care about your little brother. Add a touch of fairytale magic: mermaids with cheeky crabs as pets and little dune pigs scurrying along the beach—naturally, the grown-ups can’t know about any of this. Six delightful stories from the master storyteller invite readers to wonder, smile, and dream.
- New edition of the first reading classic with new illustrations
- Great stories for young and old readers
- Cornelia Funke’s unique way of telling stories
