Francisco is in shock: the paella that Emilio Gutierrez had for supper had obviously been poisoned – to make matters worse all this happened right at his parents’ restaurant. For Francisco one thing is crystal clear: this was an assassination attempt! Together with his friend Pablo he sets out to search for the murderer and soon a terrible suspicion arises… However, it is not easy to protect a popular centre player.
It turns out the betting mafia has its fingers in the pie. Emilio is being blackmailed to make his team loose in the next deciding game. Still during the game Francisco and Pablo accomplish to hunt down the blackmailer and have him arrested by the police. Emilio is relived and leads his team to victory.
