Anne Ameling was born in 1976 in Münsterland and studied history (although she would have preferred to invent a time machine directly), English and Romance languages and literature in Cologne. She then worked in a Cologne publishing house. As a freelance author, editor and copywriter for various media, she has been enthusiastically exploring new topics for many years and has been writing children's books since 2010.

Iris Hardt

Iris Hardt grew up in the Ruhr area in the 1970s. After graduating from high school, she moved to Münster to study design at the University of Applied Sciences. As a freelancer, she has drawn children's books for many German publishers, some of them from the UK. She drew the "Why Stories to Read Aloud" and learned many interesting things along the way. She moved from Essen to Münster in 1992 for design studies, and still lives there with her family, drawing and working in a shared studio.
