Kathrin Schrocke wurde 1975 in Augsburg geboren. Nach ihrem Germanistik- und Psychologiestudium in Bamberg belegte sie einen zweijährigen Fernkurs zum Thema Kinder- und Jugendliteratur bei STUBE/Wien. Daneben war sie als Presseassistentin in einem großen Kinder- und Jugendbuchverlag tätig, arbeitete als Praktikantin in der Redaktion der Jugendzeitschrift Brigitte young miss und verfasste Literaturkritiken für das Fachforum für Kinder- und Jugendliteratur kjl-online. Sie veröffentlichte Erzählungen und Theaterstücke für Erwachsene, für die sie u.a. mit dem Kurzgeschichtenpreis der Criminale, dem Dillinger Kulturpreis und dem Anerkennungspreis des bayerischen Kultusministeriums ausgezeichnet wurde. Klaus-Peter Wolf was born 1954 in Gelsenkirchen. After his Abitur, he worked for a local paper, organised a youth centre and drifted from place to place all over Europe as a conjuring clown. During this time, he started to write stories about himself and his friends, which found more and more readers. Until now, he has received several prizes for his books, including the Anne-Frank-Annerkennungspreis.

Bettina Göschl wurde 1967 in Bamberg geboren. Schon mit sieben Jahren wollte sie Sängerin werden. Deswegen hat sie ihren Beruf als Erzieherin nach zehn Jahren aufgeben und schreibt heute Lieder und Geschichten für Kinder. Gemeinsam mit Klaus-Peter Wolf hat sie einige Kinderbücher veröffentlicht und lebt als freie Autorin in Köln.

Dagmar Henze wurde 1970 in Stade geboren. Sie studierte an der Fachhochschule für Gestaltung in Hamburg Illustration und hat seither bei verschiedenen Verlagen zahlreiche Kinderbücher illustriert. Genau wie Lola hat Dagmar Henze lange in Hamburg gelebt und kennt sich dort bestens aus. Deshalb machen ihr die Zeichnungen für die Lola-Bücher auch besonders großen Spaß.
