Sarah Herzhoff

Sarah Herzhoff wurde 1976 in Mönchengladbach geboren. Schon mit fünf Jahren malte sie ihr erstes Buch. Als Jugendliche entdeckte sie dann ihre Liebe zum geschriebenen Wort und damit den Beruf der Schriftstellerin. Um diesem Beruf näher zu kommen, studierte sie nach dem Abitur Allgemeine Sprachwissenschaft und Germanistik und begann für Erwachsene zu schreiben. Die Geburten ihrer beiden Töchter ließen ihr Ideen für Kinder dann nur so zufliegen. Diese brachte sie ab 2005 zu Papier und feiert bei Loewe mit ihren Geschichten zum Vorlesen und Selbstlesen ihren Durchbruch als Kinderbuchautorin. „Schreiben macht man nicht, man ist es“, sagt Herzhoff über ihr Leben als Autorin. Denn es gehört für sie immer dazu, alles zu beobachten, und wenn sie dann eine Idee „überfällt“, ist sie tage- oder wochenlang damit beschäftigt diese umzusetzen. Nichtsdestotrotz findet sie neben dem Schreiben immer die Zeit ihren Kindern vorzulesen und selbst in Büchern zu schmökern. Sarah Herzhoff lebt mit ihrer Familie am Niederrhein.

Sabine Kraushaar

Sabine Kraushaar started drawing as soon as she was able to hold a pen. It had always been her dream to be an illustrator of children's books. After her art and design studies in Maastricht, NL, she decided to try her luck and since then has become a successful children's and picture book illustrator.
