Each time you access this website, information is automatically collected by us or the web space provider. This information, also known as server log files, is of a general nature and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person (the legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) f GDPR). Among other things, the following is collected: Name of the website, file, date, amount of data, web browser and web browser version, operating system, the domain name of your internet provider, the so-called referrer URL (the page from which you accessed our website) and the IP address. Without this data, it would not be technically possible to deliver and display the content of the website. In this respect, the collection of data is absolutely necessary. In addition, we use the anonymous information for statistical purposes. It helps us to optimise our website and technology.
If you register on our website to take advantage of personalised services, personal data will be collected. This includes your name, address, telephone number (if applicable) and email address as contact and communication data.
Registration enables access to services and content that are only available to registered users. Upon request, we will of course inform you which personal data has been collected and stored. In addition, we will correct or delete the data upon request, provided that there are no legal retention obligations that prevent this. If you have any questions or wish to request the correction or deletion of your data, please use the contact details provided in this privacy policy.
For the processing of orders in the end customer's shopping basket at www.loewe-verlag.de, we use the service provider Moluna GmbH, Engberdingdamm 27, 48268 Greven (‘Moluna’), as a processor in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. Moluna handles order processing, shipping and parts of customer service for us. The following categories of personal data are processed as part of order processing:
Processing is carried out for the purpose of implementing pre-contractual measures and fulfilling the purchase contract with you, including shipping the goods, payment processing, returns and complaints handling, and customer communication (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Insofar as individual processing steps are based on statutory retention and documentation obligations (e.g. commercial and tax law retention obligations), the processing is additionally based on Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. Moluna uses other subcontractors to perform some of these tasks, including:
Contracts for order processing in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR are in place with all service providers used, which ensure an adequate level of protection for your data. Loewe Verlag GmbH remains the controller within the meaning of the GDPR for the processing described. You can therefore assert your rights as a data subject (e.g. information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection, data portability) against us at any time. If necessary, we will coordinate the implementation of your rights with Moluna and the subcontractors employed there.
When you subscribe to our newsletter, we use the data you provide exclusively for this purpose or to inform you about circumstances relevant to this service or registration. To do this, we must pass this data on to the newsletter distribution service at rapidmail.de. The legal basis for this is the conclusion and execution of a contract in accordance with Art. 6 (1) a GDPR. The integration of rapidmail.de is based on Art. 28 GDPR. The data protection provisions of rapidmail.de can be viewed here: https://www.rapidmail.de/datenschutz. A valid email address is required to receive the newsletter. The IP address used to register for the newsletter and the date on which you order the newsletter are also stored. This data serves as evidence in the event of misuse, if a third-party email address is registered for the newsletter. In order to further ensure that an email address is not misused by third parties in our distribution list, we work in accordance with the law using the so-called ‘double opt-in’ procedure. As part of this procedure, the order for the newsletter, the sending of the confirmation email and the receipt of the registration confirmation are logged. You may revoke your consent to the storage of your data, your email address and its use for sending the newsletter at any time. We provide a link for revocation in every newsletter. You also have the option of informing us of your wish to revoke your consent via the contact options listed in this document/on this page.
Our website features a contact form that can be used to contact us electronically. If you write to us using the contact form, we will process the data you provide in the contact form in order to contact you and respond to your questions and requests.
The principle of data minimisation and data avoidance is observed here, as you only need to provide the data that we absolutely need to contact you. This is your email address and the message field itself. In addition, your IP address is processed for technical reasons and for legal security. All other data is optional and can be provided voluntarily (e.g. to enable us to respond to your enquiries in a more personalised manner).
If you contact us by email, we will process the personal data provided in the email solely for the purpose of processing your enquiry. If you do not use the contact forms provided, no further data will be collected. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) (a), (b) GDPR.
When users leave comments or other contributions, their name and email address are stored on the basis of a legitimate interest (see Art. 6 GDPR). This is done for security reasons, in case someone leaves illegal content in comments and contributions (insults, prohibited political propaganda, etc.). We also store the information you provide in order to respond to your enquiry and ask any follow-up questions.
This website uses cookies. These are text files that are stored on your computer by the server. They contain information about your browser, IP address, operating system and internet connection. We do not pass this data on to third parties or link it to personal data without your consent.
The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) lit. f EU GDPR and Art. 6 (1) lit. a EU GDPR in the case of consent.
Users have the option of accessing our website without cookies. To do this, the corresponding settings must be changed in the browser. Please refer to your browser's help function to find out how to deactivate cookies. However, we would like to point out that this may impair some functions of this website and restrict its usability.
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (‘Google’). Google Analytics uses ‘cookies’, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will generally be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator.
The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.
We use Google Analytics to analyse and regularly improve the use of our website. The statistics obtained enable us to improve our offering and make it more interesting for you as a user. For the exceptional cases in which personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

We use Google AdWords to draw attention to our attractive offers on external websites with the help of advertising material (known as Google AdWords). We can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are in relation to the data from the advertising campaigns. Our aim is to show you advertising that is of interest to you, to make our website more interesting for you and to achieve a fair calculation of advertising costs. These advertising materials are delivered by Google via so-called ‘ad servers’. For this purpose, we use ad server cookies, which allow certain parameters for measuring success, such as the display of ads or clicks by users, to be measured. If you access our website via a Google ad, Google Adwords will store a cookie on your computer. These cookies usually expire after 30 days and are not intended to identify you personally. The unique cookie ID, number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), last impression (relevant for post-view conversions) and opt-out information (indicating that the user no longer wishes to be targeted) are usually stored as analysis values for this cookie. These cookies enable Google to recognise your internet browser. If a user visits certain pages of an AdWords customer's website and the cookie stored on their computer has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognise that the user has clicked on the ad and been redirected to that page. Each AdWords customer is assigned a different cookie. Cookies cannot therefore be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers. We ourselves do not collect or process any personal data in the advertising measures mentioned. We only receive statistical evaluations provided by Google. Based on these evaluations, we can identify which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data from the use of the advertising material; in particular, we cannot identify users based on this information.
Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to Google's server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of this tool and therefore inform you according to our state of knowledge: By integrating AdWords Conversion, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding part of our website or clicked on one of our advertisements. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, it is possible that the provider may find out and store your IP address. However, you can prevent participation in this tracking process by adjusting your browser settings.
In addition to AdWords Conversion, we use the Google Remarketing application. This application allows our advertisements to be displayed to you when you continue to use the internet after visiting our website. This is done using cookies stored in your browser, which Google uses to record and evaluate your usage behaviour when you visit various websites. This allows Google to detect your previous visit to our website. According to Google, the data collected as part of remarketing is not merged with your personal data that may be stored by Google. In particular, according to Google, pseudonymisation is used in remarketing.
The legal basis for the processing of your data is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Further information on data protection at Google can be found here: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html. Alternatively, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) website at https://www.networkadvertising.org. Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.
This website uses social plugins from the following provider(s)
These plugins normally collect data from you by default and transmit it to the servers of the respective provider. The legal basis for the use of the plugins is Art. 6 (1) (a) and (f) GDPR. The plugins collect personal data such as your IP address and send it to the servers of the respective provider, where it is stored. In addition, activated social plugins set a cookie with a unique identifier when you visit the relevant website. This also allows providers to create profiles about your usage behaviour. This also happens if you are not a member of the social network of the respective provider. If you are a member of the provider's social network and are logged in to the social network during your visit to this website, your data and information about your visit to this website may be linked to your profile on the social network. We have no influence on the exact scope of the data collected by the respective provider. For more information about the scope, type and purpose of data processing and about your rights and settings options for protecting your privacy, please refer to the privacy policy of the respective social network provider. We have integrated YouTube videos into our online offering, which are stored on https://www.YouTube.com and can be played directly from our website. This website also uses Google Maps services. This allows us to display interactive maps directly on the website and enables you to conveniently use the map function.
When you visit the website, Google receives information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account that you are logged in to or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly associated with your account. If you do not want this association with your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses it for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or the design of its website in line with requirements. Such evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide advertising in line with requirements and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website.
You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact YouTube to exercise this right. We also embed fonts (‘Google Fonts’) from Google on our website. Each time you visit a website that uses Google Fonts, your browser contacts a Google server, usually a server in the USA. No authentication takes place when using Google fonts. No cookies are sent from website visitors to the Google Fonts API.
Further information on the purpose and scope of the entire data collection and its processing by Google can be found in the privacy policy. There you will also find further information on your rights and setting options for protecting your privacy: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Google also processes your personal data in the USA and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.
