Just a few weeks after their first exciting expedition to the Andes, Humboldt and his expedition team, formed by Oskar, street thief and Humboldt‘s new servant, Charlotte, Humboldt‘s niece, Eliza his house keeper and the Kiwi bird Selma, set out to solve another mysterious case. A number of big vessels have sunk for no apparent reason in the Aegean sea. For his purpose Humboldt charters the state-of-the-art research submarine Nautilus – one of the most exciting inventions of the ending 19th century. Humboldt and his fellow travellers have to stay under water a lot longer than expected. At the depth of 300 meter below the surface they make an incredible discovery: The scientist and inventor Alexandros Livanos, declared missing 10 years ago, has built an entire city under water, populated by automated mechanical robot people. The centre of the city is Poseidon‘s palace, remnant of the ancient Atlantis and home to the city‘s ruler: Daron, an early automated calculator, who has taken all power from Livanos.
