Einar lives with his parents at a Norwegian fjord. In this lonely place, his best friend, the little fox terrier Odin, runs away one day. Einar tries to rescue him from the stormy sea and nearly drowns himself, but then - the Magic Island appears! The Nordic God Odin has sent it and asks Einar for a favour: Odin needs the text of a mystic Rune Stone - and in order to get it, Einar must travel back in time to the Vikings.
