A NOVEL? A SELF-EXPERIMENT!
Now that he has completed his Abitur and can leave school, Paul finds that he is suddenly alone; he rashly decides to sell everything he has and to set off on a survival expedition in the forest. He wants to survive for a hundred days there, with nothing in his pockets... apart from his laptop and a camera, because he wants to write about it – online. His very first film – which simply shows his fridge sitting outside his front door before he sets off – gains cult status with the online community. All he wanted to do, in fact, was to draw his best friend out of his reserve and get him talking again.
Episode by episode, the drop-out acquires star-status and is forced to realise that the media jungle is much nastier than the forest. He becomes a slave to his image. However, there is one person, at least, to whom he can truly pour his heart out; the mysterious RetroGirl18, who he is falling more and more in love with, every time she posts, in spite of never having met her.
