Ursula Poznanski was born in Vienna in 1968. After university she started as an editor with a publisher for medical literature. In 2003 she began writing her own books for children and young adults. In 2006 she received the children‘s and youth book award of the city of Vienna and was nominated for the Austrian children‘s and youth book award.

In 2010 her first thriller EREBOS was published by Loewe with great success. Rights to EREBOS were sold into 25 languages and in 2011 the book was awarded the German Youth Literature Prize of the Youth Jury.

After the enormous success of EREBOS in 2011 Ursula's second thriller SAECULUM was published by Loewe.
