Bettina Belitz was born 1973 in Heidelberg. Her parents provided her with loads of new books during her childhood and at the age of twelve she took her first steps at writing. After her studies in history, literature and media she worked as a journalist and wrote for several newspapers and magazines. Today she lives together with horses, cats and chickens in a small town near Westerwald where she is fully concentrated on her writing.
