Burkhard Weitz was born in 1965. As a child he lived for several years in Bethlehem. He studied religious sciences and theology and has been living for a number of years in countries abroad, among others in Palestine and the US. Since 1999 he has been working as a journalist and editor for the Protestant magazine Chrismon. Today he lives in Frankfurt with his family.
